Testing Reports:

Description: Cool green serpentine is offset by the rich color of gilded-copper openwork, wrapped around the stands and cups of this set of wine vessels. Among the more striking artifacts of the Liao Dynasty are the examples in stone and pottery, wrapped in well-fitted openwork metal with elaborate openwork patterns. This set of vessels and stands is adorned with birds and scrolling foliage. Each cup bears two ducks in flight, and two songbirds, wings spread and heads tipped back. The birds are set against a background of scrolling foliage, and the vegetal patterns are repeated on the pair of stands.
